HARMONY ROSE VODICKA
PROJECTS
Throughout my time at Missouri State University, I have had the honor of experiencing amazing opportunities and presenting coursework that I am incredibly proud of. Below are some of my most exciting works that show the range of my writing abilities.
Personal Statement
In my Writing with Technology course, we were asked to create personal statements discussing our motivations for choosing the career path or area of study we had selected.
I decided to write my piece discussing the origins of my desire to become a grant writer asfter I complete my schooling.

United Arab Emirates Travel Writing
During my study abroad in the UAE, I was tasked with writing daily journals and notes to document my trip and gather my thoughts as we traveled the country.
At the end of our endeavor, we were all asked to write two different forms of travel writing, one informational piece and one reflective piece.

White Paper Discussing Vaping
For my Technical Writing Course and Honors College Service Project, I wrote a white paper discussing vaping on college campuses.
I worked with Missouri State administration and the Greene County Health Department to create a research paper surrounding the prevalence of vaping around college campuses, and this paper served as one of the main sections of my research.

Literature Explication and Mimicry
During my first semester of college, I took a course called Literature by Women. This was an amazing class and I thoroughly enjoyed reading a great mix of classic and modern literature written by powerful women.
For our final paper of the course, we were tasked with writing an explication of one of our favorite pieces and creating a mimicry for the piece.

Travel Training Manual
For my Professional Editing course this past semester, we were tasked with completing a full document editing cycle, including the use of track changes in Word and copy editing techniques, to edit a document submitted by clients looking for a bit of help.
I was tasked with reworking an instruction manual that could be used by university staff to submit their travel expenses for reimbursment.
I followed the Missouri State style guide and edited the manual to be consice, clear, and complete.
