UAE STUDY ABROAD

During my travels in the UAE, I had an amazing time learning about Arab culture and exploring the world of ethical travel writing. I was able to have meaningful conversations with both locals and expat workers, and had many once-in-a-lifetime experiences.

This photo was taken inside the Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world. Looking out these windows, you can see so much of Dubai!

This is the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi. Visiting this mosque was definitely one of my top highlights of the trip. 

Traveling through Sharjah, the education district of the UAE, we were able to look at lots of different styles of architecture. 

My group and I had the amazing opportunity to spend one night in a desert camp while abroad. We had a great time dune bashing through the sand to get to the camp. 

After our night in the desert, we rode on camelback into the desert to watch the sunrise. Certainly a once-in-a-lifetime experience. 

We made sure to enjoy the full experience of being in Dubai and spent one day relaxing on La Mer Beach, a great way to have fun and rest a bit.
